TikTok

TikTok pays through its Creator Rewards Program.

Formerly the Creativity Program. TikTok doesn't publish a fixed rate.

01

Requirements

18 or older, at least 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in the last 30 days, videos of at least 1 minute and a personal account (not a business one).
02

How much it pays

There's no official rate. Industry agencies estimate $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views in the US; with audiences in Spain or Latin America, noticeably less.
03

Is it available in your country?

It launched in Mexico on October 1, 2025. It's available in some countries, and the list can change by market: check TikTok Studio.
YouTube

YouTube pays through its Partner Program.

It has two tiers, and the revenue share is published.

01

Tier 1: 500 subscribers

Plus 3 uploads in 90 days and 3,000 watch hours in 12 months or 3 million Shorts views in 90 days. Unlocks memberships, Super Chat and Super Thanks.
02

Tier 2: 1,000 subscribers

Plus 4,000 watch hours in 12 months or 10 million Shorts views in 90 days. Unlocks ad revenue. From February 1, 2027 it rises to 8,000 hours or 20 million Shorts views.
03

Your share

55% of net ad revenue on long videos, 45% on Shorts (from the shared pool) and 70% of net revenue from memberships, Super Chat and Super Thanks.
04

How much you earn

Agency estimates: $0.01 to $0.10 per 1,000 views on Shorts, and $1 to $30 on long videos depending on the niche. These are not official Google figures.

What it means if you make short videos.

Three takeaways from the data above.

01

On TikTok, only videos of 1 minute or more count

The rewards program doesn't pay for shorter videos: 30-second clips help you grow, not get paid by that program.
02

Shorts pay little per view

Shorts RPM is far below long-form video: what makes the difference is the volume of views.
03

Spain and Latin America pay less than the US

Every source agrees: the same view is worth several times less with an audience in Spain or Latin America than in the US, the UK or Germany.

FAQ

TikTok only offers it in some countries, and the list can change by market. The surest way is to check TikTok Studio, under Monetization: it shows whether your account can apply.
